Volunteer Opportunities

We need your help with the following positions. Much of this work can be done from the comfort of your own home (those positions are noted with an *).  Help us move toward our mission of a world free of MS by volunteering your time and talents! Thank you.

Current Advocacy Volunteer Positions

*Story Bank Biographer: We are in need of 2-3 volunteers who have writing/communications experience to interview and write client stories.

*Data Entry Volunteer: We are in need of volunteers who have data entry experience/computer knowledge to enter legislators into our database. We need to enter 118 legislators into our system so that we can begin to build relationships and share key information related to MS. This is a time limited commitment.

Advocacy Speaker: We are in need of advocacy speakers from across NJ to present on the National MS Society’s federal and state policy priorities. Speakers could attend community meetings, self-help groups and other events. Travel is required, but will work with the volunteer to limit any excessive travel.

Action Alert Ambassador: We need volunteers to talk about, and sign people up onto the National MS Society’s Action Alert system. The Action Alert system is our electronic messaging system alerting individuals of action needed on federal and local legislation.
